Business Action Against Corruption (BAAC) is a joint government and private sector initiative to combat corruption, supported by CHOG. It began in Botswana and now operates in ten African countries. Nigeria, Malawi, and Cameroon endorse BAAC, with CBi hosting BAAC Nigeria. The program promotes good governance, fosters partnerships, and combats corruption through collective action, research, education, and best practices.

The Open Government Partnership promotes accessible, responsive, and accountable governance for citizens. The 2016 London Anti-Corruption Summit added Open Contracting, ensuring fair, transparent, and accountable public contracts to prevent misuse of funds (view communique). Nigeria established the Nigeria Open Contracting Portal (NOCOPO). Soji Apampa, from the Integrity Organisation, represents the business community on the National Implementation Committee of OGP in Nigeria.

The Business and Human Rights agenda in Nigeria aligns with the Vienna Declaration and Program of Action. Global Rights leads collective action through the Nigeria BHR Roundtable co-chaired by Integrity Organization and National Human Rights Commission. Nigeria's National Action Plan for Human Rights includes a chapter on Business and Human Rights, providing benchmarks and roles for stakeholders to advance human rights and business, following the UN Guiding Principles.

Investors vividly recall the 2008 share price manipulation, causing market chaos. The CBN Governor (Lamido Sanusi) identified 8 factors behind the Equities Market collapse. In response, the CGRS was developed from 2010 to 2014 by the Convention on Business Integrity in partnership with NGX, aiming to link corporate governance with company performance. Funded by the Siemens Integrity Initiative, it ran from 2014 to November 2022.
